I am 13 and I have been play for 2 1/2 months and am thinking about joining a chess tournament. Do ya'll think I should?

You are fortunate enough to have youth on your side.  Junior players tend to have a great ability to learn new techniques rapidly.  You should find that you will emerge from you first tournament a much stronger player.
