Are there such thing as Spoilers in tournaments..I refer to a practice where a player join a tournament and easily resign a game with favored friends but fight tooth and nail with others not in their good grace....

Are such games, even randomly being monitored by site administrators?

I ask the question in the spirit of fair play for members and the integrity of the website...

Yes, we try to monitor for this abusive activity. However, if you notice such a thing you can always use the Report Abuse link and we will take immediate action against such abuse.

How do you accuss or prove such activity - are conversations -openly addressed - or is there no privacy -for me - no worries - just curious.

i have looked at games in tournaments i joined in..and a strong player just resigned his other games but he fought me to the end....it was not out of time..he resigned in the middle of games he had an edge....or just in the middle of gaining advantage...

I have to agree to a point raised by davepinoy, i have personally enjoyed our encounters, On this chess site we are on it is probably the best, but there are problems that need to be rectified,TROUBLE IS THE MINORITY WIN AT ALL COST
