Hey guys, I'm starting a WHOLE LOT of theme tournaments.

So far we have one for the Najdorf Posioned Pawn Variation, the English Defense, and the Max Lange Attack. Three days per move and limited to players over 1500 with low timeouts and at least 15 games. If you know of an interesting and uncommon opening, just suggest it here and the tourney will be made!

I suppose so. I wanted to avoid the "never-ending vacation jerk" situation that's come up in a couple tourneys recently, but with this small of a group size I don't think it should be as much of a problem...

Hey guys, since I'm not getting a lot of interest in the tourneys (except the Scotch Game tourney - thanks Chessy!) I removed the ratings floor and made the timeouts/total games restrictions less stringent. Now any rating player with at least 10 games and less than 10% timeouts may enter. Vacation is allowed. I'm getting the idea that perhaps I should choose more commonly-played openings for these...?

Also, added a tournament for the Vienna Game, and one for the Gruenfeld Defense.

You have to be patient if you do not send invitations, perhaps nine months or more.

To hasten the registration process, you will have to spend quite a few hours or days inviting players to these six tournaments. At least in one case a player has decided to ignore the tournament list.
