Here's how tiebreaks are calculated. Suppose there are 3 players: A, B and C, with the following scores:
Player A: 1 1 against B, 1/2 1/2 against C. Total: 3Player B: 0 0 against A, 1 1/2 against C. Total: 1.5Player C: 1/2 1/2 against A, 1/2 0 against B. Total: 1.5
Players B and C tied. We check their tiebreak score. To do this, multiply each score against each opponent by that opponent's total score, and sum everything up.
For Player A, tiebreak score is useless, but we'll calculate it anyway.
Player A Tiebreak: 1x1.5 + 1x1.5 + 1/2x1.5 + 1/2x1.5 = 4.5Player B Tiebreak: 0x3 + 0x3 + 1x1.5 + 1/2x1.5 = 2.25Player C Tiebreak: 1/2x3 + 1/2x3 + 1/2x1.5 + 0x1.5 = 3.75
Hence, Player C would be in second place, while Player B would place third.
This system assumes that winning against a player with a high number of points is better than winning against a player with a low number of points.

But what happens if it is still equal? If only can go to round to and 2 is equal on tie breaks, will both advance? Nothing about that in the rules, but I guess both advance.
Anyway, I love this site!!

"If two players have the same score and the same Tie Break score, both will advance."
Thanks for the answer. That sentence escaped me
