Time limit for online tournaments

Chess.com needs to instantiate some time limit for example:

1. 3 days per move max
2. 30 days per 30 moves.

So some people won't abuse and make  everyone wait in tournaments.

Right now there are people playing 400+ games (some people even 1500+ games) and they delay every tournament they are in as one game may be 80 moves and they make their move strictly in last minutes (which is annoying as it take almost a year to finish).

It would be good to have that option as a tournament director. I like the 30 moves in 30 days option, because sometimes you do want to think a bit longer about a move, but you can play forcing sequences quite quickly.

The only downside would be you'd have two clocks - one for every 30 moves, and one for each move. Could be confusing, especially for new registrants.

I'ld prefer a mode like

X days as initial time, + Y hours (days) added to the clock per move

Trollinger has a good idea!

Say like... 7 days on your total clock for the game, but you get 2 hours added on to your clock every time you make a move.

That makes sense. Either way it would be great to limit the game time somehow. Otherwise there are games which slow down tournaments and make tens or hundreds of people to wait until some super slow players make a single move every 3 days.
