Did anyone else get hacked off with this stupid chess.com thing , that if you're a paid up member and you time out, you automatically go to vacation time. This happened to me three times against the same opponent. No wonder tournaments last so bloody long.

Surely if you enter a tournament with a three day per move then it's up to you to make it or else you lose, afterall there is vacation time for this reason.

I personally have given up with chess.com and have not made a move since, WITHOUT GOING ON VACATION TIME i might add.

Okay, i've lost all my games but it is very frustrating.

Actually, I like auto-protection. Haven't had to use it though and I can see where one could get frustrated with others constantly going on auto-vacation (for whatever reason).

If it really frustrates you in tournaments then just play in No-Vacation tournaments and you won't have to worry about it. Though, as has been mentioned in other topics, it would be nice to have that option as a user configurable one, so those that don't want it can opt out.
