don't you hate it when you can't participate in a tournament because your timeout ratio is 11 and has to be lower than 10%?

don't you want to get  out of chess.com forever and ever just because of that??!

    I do. I hate it.

or when you apply for a tournament and it never starts. and if u are not premiumed member, you can't apply anywhere else.

    hate it

If you don't like the time out ratio for a tournament, blame the TD, not the site. That is an option that the person making the tournament can set, because they want to be reasonably assured (or, conversely, don't care) that the players in the tourney won't time out.

Also, if a tournament doesn't start, you can withdraw yourself before it does, and join another tournament. :-)

I dislike it when people's games timoeout in tournaments, really holds the whole thing up; it can also affect the result if they've already finished some games. But what really annoys me is when games time out when there is a really interesting postion going on that you want to play out: irritating when you've put alot of thinking time into getting there, I'd rather be beaten than win because my opponent isn't organised enough to get online in time to make moves.

maybe instead of wasting your time starting threads like this you can make moves and avoid your inevitable timeouts.

There is very little reason to time out--don't play so many games or be prepared when you are. I agree with Richie and others. It is unfair to others in the tournament and also to the player who has spent time to get an interesting position. I do not accept challenges from people who have a high time out percentage
