Hey Everybody, I'm going into REAL tournaments because i just got a membership. Does anybody have any tips for me on what to expect?

just take your time and DO NOT PLAY to many games at a time, I have been lucky enought to meet some great people on here, be nice and play nice

haha, yeah, he means over the board.  I dont think he's going to be playing simultaneous games in his first tournament.    (i see how you could have got confused, but i think he means uscf membership or something)

Good advice regardless, especially "take your time".  It's 1 point for a win, 1/2 for a draw, and 0 for a loss, regardless of how much time is left on your clock.  Even if you arent calculating anything specific, it's amazing what can come to you by simply looking at the board for a bit, and running loose ideas through your mind.
