The "No Vacation" setting has been dropped from the 5th Chess.com Quick Knockouts.
If you wish to join or withdraw before the tournament starts you have a very short time to do so.

Is vacation time really allowed? Where can I check it officially? I'd like to join this tourney but witout vacation it's impossible for me. I don't want to find out this when the tournament begins.
The hourglass symbol is not displayed when you look at the list of upcoming tournaments. Look for a tournament with the hourglass symbol. You will see they have the message This is a "No Vacation" tournament!.
You could message the tournament director, Patzer24. Be one of the first, he may be bombarded with questions soon.
TadDude -> Thanks.
My suggestion to the staff would be that as no vacation tourneys have the message "this is a no vacation tournament", tourneys with vacation time allowed would have similar clear message, for instance "vacation is allowed in this tournament", just to avoid confusion.

by Wolfe9128 "A last minute change like that was not right. A lot of us signed up because it was no vacation. We should have been sent a notice that there was a change in the tournament rules when it happened. Then those of us who did not want to play such a large tournament with vacation could have withdrawn before it started."
Advertising: There will be no complaints like that here. Slow but fast, time control 14 days/move, group size 2, both games start immediately and no vacation. Estimated duration 4 to 8 years.
