Upcoming Tournaments Not Listed?

Hey everyone, I just finished enough games to join tournaments so I have been searching for interestings to register for.

When I was on the main "online chess" page, it had an information box at the bottom right listing a five tournaments, and then a link to the full list of upcoming tournaments. It seems that some of the tournaments from the "online chess" info box (1st Official Light Force Tournament, the strongest tournement ever, and the Tournament for the Minnows) are not listed in the full list on the main tournament page. 

 I was just wondering why this is so? Does the creator of the event have the option not to advertise it in the listing? Is it because these tournaments require an invite or something?

I just want to make sure I'm not missing some of the tournaments cause I'm searching in all the correct places.

The best place to find the most complete list of upcoming tournaments is here: http://www.chess.com/tournaments/upcoming_tournaments.html. That will only the tournaments that you are eligible for. The box you are referring to on your chess home page will list other tournaments that you may or not be eligable for.

Oh, ok, so it only lists the tournaments I'm eligable for, not every one. Thanks for the help Baseballfan
