Vacation time gives you a chance to pause your games for a while without losing on time.  For those times when you're not going to be able to get to the computer for a few days.  You can find it in "Settings", which is found in a group of links under the title "Play Chess" at the top right of your "My Online Chess" page.  Click on "Settings" and it will tell you how much vacation time you have available.

And ChessKitty, I'd be happy to go on vacation with you anytime, so long as we're using YOUR credit card.
