Why would someone enter a tournament and go on vacation the very next day?

Just to make people like you and me irritated. I have one guy in a tournament that does it all the time Grrrrrr...... I am at the point I just want to get through the tourney and end the delays as I am no longer enjoying it. I believe some of them do it hoping you will give up and resign. I do understand situations happen such as emergencies, had to go out of town for work, etc, etc, but some of these people do it all the time- most are young people who don't have any big responsibilities like raising kids, jobs, etc.
