My first tournament, come and register!

-- Ozzie :-)
nice drink
Ozzie -- why the 35 game minimum? I tried to sign up and couldn't because I only have 24 completed games.
C'mon. Every tournament needs a patzer!
OK, I'll change it :-)
I just picked a random number, I'll put it at 12 then.
A "no vacation" tournament!
I'm looking forward to these a month or two from now when people who didn't realize how long tournaments can go find themselves needing to use vacation time. :-)
As far as I know this is the first no vacation tournment being offered, so I assume all the people complaining about vacation will sign up pronto.
Good point, we'll see how they evolve. That's part of the reason why I only included "fast" players, so you don't get people who take exactly 2.99 days to make their moves, virtually guaranteeing that the game turns into "who takes vacation time first".
I should have included that in the title of the forum topic! doh!
*shuffles papers*
shoot, where was the "create topic" form anyways?
... who will probably want to eat their words when it comes back to get them. But that is why vacation is only good when it is legit, but you all know why it isn't, plus everyone is tired of the topic.
Thanks, I'm in!
So, what are we playing for?
How about a lesson on the Caro-Kann or King's Indian from Ozzie Cobblepot for the winner?
A lesson maybe on the white side of the King's Indian.
The thing is, the winner will be the person who least needs a lesson, no? What if a titled player wins the tourney? I like the idea of a prize though... how about a prize (lesson) for whoever plays my "favorite" game of the tournament.
Looking forward to the games. May they all be interesting!
I would join but my timeout ratio is too much:()
AlexCn, maybe play a couple of really quick games to get your ratio a little lower?
Only Vernor's ginger ale is worth while, even the diet Vernor's (or from small companies the make the real thing).
The Ginger-ale Open? Careful, you are starting to sound like Awardchess.
