Too many tournaments, not enough players and creating really large tournaments probably exascerbates this problem.
Are you inviting players that you want to join? You can send out invites, even if its not an "invite only" tournament.
a) 12 people per group = too many games for some people
b) No vacation = bad for many members
No vacation is the problem for me, what with Labor Day coming up. Count me in if it doesn't start until after that, though.
Basic Members can only be in one tournament at a time. Sorry.
First rule of tournament invitations is to not bother to invite basic members.
TadDude, you're a jerk.
I think he's joking.
Somewhat ironically, I was joking when I initially posted this forum topic. I was just secretly hoping it would draw people into the tourney :]
Really?
Personally, I only play smaller group tourneys (no more than 25 people). Also, I won't even consider tourneys where vacation is allowed ( I only play "No Vacation" tournaments). The purpose for both these criteria for me is that it insures the tournament will move along and reach a conclusion at somepoint in my lifetime.
Yes really. I know why people don't/can't join large tourneys on this site. It was pissing me off that I couldn't devise a creative way to draw more potential traffic to the link. So... I made yet another post linking to it. BTW is that really you Capa? I LOVE YOUR ENDGAMES BRO!!!
No offence intended. It is not practical to invite basic members. Even if they were interested in joining they are less likely to have an available entry with which to join a member-created tournament.
Members can decline and free up the invitation for reuse but it appears most do not.
That's a pretty clever idea, Fonix.
Thanks buddy!!
And for the record, I have gotten 3 additional people to sign up since I posted this earlier:)
p.s. I think it helps to have a catchy post title.
yeah, i think these huge tournaments aren't half what the smaller ones are. ironic?
I wouldn't know. It still hasn't started.
