Withdrawal from 2nd round

Apologies if this has been asked before - I couldn't find a similar question.

I am currently enrolled in a tournament which is about to enter the second (and final) round. I will have made it through to the second round, but due to other comitments my preference would be not to proceed through.

If I withdraw now do I lose the games or am I just omitted from the round before it starts?

Note: the second round has not started yet - 3 games are still in progress.

    Thanks,

    Julian

    Thanks Scottk and TadDude.

Having re-read my post, I hadn't made it clear that the 3 games still in progress from the first round in the tournament were not mine. I did withdraw and per TadDude's post there appears to have been no penalty.
