I'm not sure if this has been posted, but it would be a good idea for me if chess.com hosts a tournament ala Vote Chess where members of the same country participate against others of other country.
Vote chess :( ... matches, top 8 people of each country are invited ...

It really sounds like a good idea!
This could be a good idea: all who want to play get into your nation tournament. The one who wins the tournament is selected to representate his country in the world tournament.
Well, the rest is known. The tournament could be annual.
