1-2-11 - Doing What is Right, Even When Others Don't

Okay, it is Monday 1-02-12!  Happy New Year!

I want to post a short blog - this may not even have one scripture in it, but as Christians, we know that what I am about to say is the truth...

YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT, EVEN WHEN OTHERS AROUND YOU DON'T.  Sometimes people will do things that you don't like, you may feel like doing what they do, and getting back at them.  What does the Bible say?  Romans 12:19-21 / 19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

I will be short in this message, but I want to encourage you as Christians that your light shines before the world.  When you do the same hateful things the world does, they see, and your light looks identical to theirs.  But if you demonstrate the love of Christ, your light will shine into the world.

I encourage you to pray through temptations and trials, and not be overcome of evil, as it says in the scripture.  It is not that we are not to speak the truth - but we must love our enemies too.  God bless you!

Amen ... Love conquers all ... God is my strength Smile

Man can never exact vengeance for a wicked act done to him ... for when we start to plan for vengeance, a wicked act to the concerned person ... we are already placed under the destructive effect of our wicked plan ... even before it affects the concerned person.

Let us love the person who has wronged us ... he did it because of his pitiful state - hell on earth, darkness in his soul ... and unless he sees the light in us, he will not be able to identify the darkness in him ... and choose the light.

Practice brings perfection ... it is in temptations and trials, in situations God allows us to experience ... that we will see the measure of our changing into the character of God ... a process where we are the product ... and all other things outside of us (the situation, the people, and other players in the process), are just ingredients and accessories to the production of a better us.

Blessed new year to all ... and a blessed day, always.

Glory be to God ... for His work in us.
