2010 Season

Its time to wake up from the long offseason slumber and get ready for the 2010 Texans football season.  As the old cliche goes "hope springs eternal" and this year is no different.

Here are some of my reasons to be hopefully and some concerns

    To the good:

    1.  Draft picks were solid

    2.  Encouraged about the RB situation (this is the biggest worry)

    3.  D look solid

    Still worried:

    1.  Secondary is shakey.  Robinson was an ass but he could play.

    2.  Not sure the kicking issue is resolved

    3.  D line, especially Antoinio Smith and Okoye

Time to get the juices flowing and start chatting about our Texans!

I felt deja vu watching the Texans defense against the Saints saturday.  I sure hope that feeling doesn't come back when the season starts.  It's been the same thing the past 8 years; hopeful that THIS is the team that will take us to the promised land, only to watch our season go down the drain the first 4 games.

But on the other hand, we had one of the best offenses in the league last year, and we got better in the offseason.  So it should provide for an interesting year.  Hopefully the defense will help us win, because we usually put up 20+ points a game, but give up 20+ a game too, and you can't win games giving up that many points and yardage.  Can't wait for the season to start.

The looked a lot better against the girls.  I especially liked the way Foster played.  Mario was an animal out there and Okoye looked good too.  We will see what happens week 1 when they have to play you know who.  Hard to pin everything to that game but it is such a big psychologic hump to get over beating the Colts.
