Anyone playing at the Arnold Denker Florida State Championship this weekend in Naples?  I wish I were.

No.  I'm tired of payin' money just to lose.  I imagine that my next tourney will be the 5th DBCC G50 Open (Daytona Beach Chess Club), on Saturday, September 17th.  They have info on their site (http://daytonabchcc.org/daytonabchcc/schedule.htm), but it appears to be somewhat incorrect.  It's normally at Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach, but the have the location different.  The advert has the wrong date on it, and it's usually $20, but they have it as $25.  When I get the correct info, I'll post it up here, in the Events section.

It's a small tourney, but still, very tough.  There are only two classes, 1600 being the divider.  However, it's not a segmented tourney, so you will play against players from both classes.  Four games; all in one day...Tough!  It'll give you a headache, and you will leave tired.  Particularly, between the shoulders (too much time spent crouched over the board analyzing complicated positions, and trying to figure out how NOT to lose against someone rated 1700-1900, when you are 900).
