As the title heading shows, IM Danny Rensch was one draw away from scoring his first ever 10/10 BIG Show, but distractions were abound in today's episode of "The BIG Show" keeping Danny away from that big prize.
Like always, the weekly 10-game simul with the 15|30 time controls never failed to be entertaining even though it got a late start. Almost 250 viewers joined in and the chat room was hopping (some good, some bad) but all in all it was another great show.
So let's try to keep this short and sweet today and get to the games in completion order:
Game #1 vs. IgorQED - B01 Scandinavian Defence:
#2 - vs. Axos - B45 Sicilian Four Knights (this game ended abruptly for specific reasons that I will not get into and we'll leave it at that.)
#3 - vs. Briggo - A45 Trompowsky Attack:
#4 - vs. Paddestoel - B35 Sicilian Accelerated Dragon with 5. Nc3 - Main line:
#5 - vs. sharpyuk - B56 Classical Sicilian:
#6 - vs. RomainLabernede - C41 Philidor Defence:
#7 - vs. ChocoNut - B23 Closed Sicilian - without g3:
#8 - vs. ANason21 - C45 Scotch Game:
#9 - vs. rooknite - E10 Blumenfeld Gambit: This is the game that got away and became a thorn in the side of perfection today. What would you have done differently?
Congrats to rooknite for a hard fought draw!
#10 - vs. Incrense - A20 English Opening 1...e5: (The longest game of the day)
There you have it folks. Another week down. Almost a date with destiny. Hopefully next time Danny will take care of the bathroom breaks before the show starts. I honestly think if it wasn't for that it would've been 10/10.
Have a great night everyone!

I am new to the group, and caught my first Big Show episode today; by any chance is the "Big Show" and "Death Match" archived as video for members? I guess blog recaps are a more concise approach to review, but video is nice too, I guess I could have used screen capture during the broadcasts, otherwise;

You can watch the videos again - just go to FUN > Chess.com TV at the top of the page, and then click videos when the new page loads.
The videos in the On-Demand section can only be watched by Platinum/Diamond members sorry to say. So unless you upgrade to one of those levels, you won't be able to watch the show replays. :(
