Hello Chess Turtles,

I'm not yet sure who accepted all the Team Matches against The Power of Chess, but I'd like to apologize on their behalf.

1)  When I send out multiple Open Seeks, I expect that each of them will be accepted by a different group, and I have gotten quite upset at teams that monopolize them and accept all of them at once rather than letting other groups play too.  Therefore, I most certainly do not want my group to be guilty of that which I accuse others of.  If you choose to accept a Team Match or a Vote Game (that's what I gave you the power for), please only accept one at a time, especially if they're all from the same group.  There is no fun in playing the same person in 6 simultaneous games.

2) This is the TURTLE GROUP!!!  We play SLOW!!!  DO NOT ACCEPT ANY TEAM MATCHES THAT ARE FASTER THAN 5-DAYS/TURN!!!!  We are getting slaughtered in our 1st match for this very reason.  We all joined this group so that we could play nice relaxing games without worrying about needing to move quickly.  It makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER to turn around and require games to be played at a fast pace.  Not in this group!!!

3) The Power of Chess is probably the strongest team on this whole site.  Accepting any challenge from them should only be done by the best and bravest of souls.  We have certianly not demonstrated that we are anywhere near that level yet.  We ABSOLUTELY are not ready to play them in 3 matches at the same time.  That is just straight up suicide!!!

I don't mind if you want to start some new Team Matches or Vote Games, but PLEASE think before you do so.  Be reasonable.

I'm sorry I accepted the three day seek against our first team match. I will definitely be careful next time.

Thanks for clarifying this situation. I don't accept team matches for this very reason. I remember seeing this challange. I let the site admistrators do the accepting since they have a pulse on these issues. Jeez, the Power of Chess folks are really, really strong players.On a brighter note, losing to them at least means there's no place other than "up" for us!

I know.  It's ok.  It was our 1st match.  Now we know.  A mistake is only a mistake if you repeat it.  If you don't, then it wasn't a mistake, it was a learning experience.  We all learned from our first match.

When I posted this thread it was in response to someone very recently accepting some challenges that shouldn't have been accepted.  I wasn't trying to come down on you for the first one, and I apologize if it came out that way.
