All I know about the Albin Counter Gambit is what I read in COUNTER GAMBITS: black to play and win, by Tim Harding.....
.....and the fact that Lasker played this defense 7 times and won all 7 games (against lesser opponents of course).
If Janowski could beat Pillsbury, he was doing OK with this defense.
heck of an endgame there. they go through almost every basic endgame combination before they get to the end. The opening is definitely interesting, but it's Janowski's solid play while down on material in the endgame that gets him the win.
