Hi all, 

Not long ago I moved from my native Denmark to New England, a little north of Amherst, MA. Does anyone here live close to Amherst? If so, I think we should get a little group together, and play OTB once a week. We might be able to play at the library in Sunderland (I already spoke with them). Anyone?

Sometimes, in Massachusetts, it seems as if there's Boston followed by a wilderness to the west, north and south and then the rest of the world.  But, here's some info that may help.

I'm in Connecticut but I know Amherst College has a chess club/team, They may know of some area clubs.  Also, I'm pretty sure there's a chess group or, even a varsity team, at UMASS.  Or you might want to check with MACA [Massachusetts Chess Association]  or try, I believe it's www. WesternMassachusettsChessAssociation.org

Try searching those last two.  Information may have changed because it's been years since I played up there.  Might come up more now that I'm heading into retirement though.
