Here are some highlights from the recent Team Match "Banes and Auras", which the Dark Knights won 6.5-3.5 against the Knights of the Temple.

On the bottom board SensFan33 played a King's Gambit.  His opponent got behind in development.  SensFan33 was able to get a pawn up, but found his Bishop in a pickle.  However, he managed an escape, and then his opponent blundered a piece, and resigned.

On the next board up, Josh_D, like a true Dark Knight, played an Alekhine's defense.  A long series of exchanges happened, but after 20. ... Bc5+, Black emerged up a piece, with an easily won game.

On the second board, dkmare was down material, but his opponent got greedy.  He should have given back a piece with 20. g3, when he would still be up a pawn, but he protected the Knight and forgot to protect his king.  The mate that follows is very pretty.

Two of these games could easily have been losses for us, but cool thinking prevailed.  Great job Team!!!
