Hey guys,

I'm new to the whole group administration thing but I have to say that the ability to ban/delete/control the messages is pretty titilating... I hope to never have to use it, of course, but isn't it neat that it's there? Kindof thrilling.

I was curious if any of you have ever had to ban anyone from your groups so far. If so, what was their offense? How did your group take it?

Being a group moderator is a cool responsibility. I have high hopes that everyone in my group will stay super classy.

The only time I kicked anyone out of a group I later realised it was probably a slight over-reaction on my part I've haven't had many problems in groups that I manage/help manage. I suppose you could get the odd troll wander through though

I found moderation a fun novelty at first but it wears off and then its just a job. But a cool job.

Yes I had to delete one member of my group and he was my bst friend as well.

I didn't want to do it however he closed his account and left me no choice.

I have one particular member who poses a dilemma for me.  He has completely taken over the group forum.  I think he's just a troll.  The thing is, he really hasn't broken the rules.  There aren't really any rules in this group.  That's kinda the entire point of the group.  The group would be better without him, but to kick him out goes against what the group exists for.  Any suggestions?

Well I was going to delete one member for talking about politics about his country asking us to call it independent. But he removed himself anyway. 

Just today I had to ban Zhane from my groups because he banned me!

Yeesh. I banned Zhane from the Poet's group the other day because he'd seemingly plagarised poetry (posted it in a thread of his without identification), but then I had a change of heart and let him back in.

Geez, it's nutty with that guy these days. He and I went from blocking each other and everything. I had no idea this was happening with lots of people...!
