Hey, if any of you are from, in, or around British Columbia, why not join the BC Chapter, here. Oh we're all one big happy family of Canucks now, but the day will come when regionalism rears its head, and we'll want to start smacking each other around on a more territorial (or provincial) basis.
And when that day comes, the BC Chapter will be there - if not to show the rest of the country our collective chess prowess, perhaps at least to hint at the strength of our local hydroponic farming industry.
(Kidding!)
Oh, and it could also be good for facilitating meet-ups, if anyone's interested.
Cheers,
mg
How about a western Canada chapter? If the regions are too small there'll hardly be any members in each one!

How will that help me stick it to those damned Albertans?
Yeah, you may have a point. Vancouver can't even seem to support a reasonable (offline) chess club. What hope does PEI have?
Well friends, Team British Columbia has over 180 members now and is invited to play in the TM World League HQ, the 32 strongest teams on chess.com will be playing there (if they're not participating a country, countries have their own world league as you might know) so our region isn't too small, the "little" province is gonna battle vs the strongest teams on chess.com ! There's also a Team Western Canada, but the strange thing is that Best of the West isn't as strong as Team BC is... if there's no activity in this group why is there still a group ? I hope we can get all the (strong) players in BC and/or Western Canada in one group to show our real strenght and pride so everyone here is very welcome to join Team BC and/or Best of the West: Team Western Canada, in union and united we stand !
... and Team British Columbia isn't the BC Chapter, there was never ever something happening in that that team thats why slimcheffy and I started Team British Columbia, with over 180 members in less than 2 months we must be do something right there...
