DEADLINE FOR PICK!:  The Deadline for this week's pick are:  Saturday, November 20th, 2010, at 5:30 pm ET for Saturday's match.  Picks made after the deadlines will not be accepted, no exceptions.  At the bottom of the page is a link to the league site's current match page, as well as a link to the Contest rules article in our Group News section.

Another Rules reminder:  We will no longer be giving out weekly prizes, since we are now into the post season, and there is only game.  The picks made during the league playoffs will count towards the season totals for the seasonal part of the contest only!  Please see the rules link below.

Nor'easters have served me well, so I will say they win 3-1.

Yes, it was unfortunate for Charles; he had to forfeit the game after an hour and a half.  He had car problems.  Frown

    Final Match Prediction Contest Results

The following are the picks made by members who participated in the Semifinal week Match Prediction Contest.  They are listed by:  Member name; followed by the names of the teams they predicted correctly, and end with a total number of games correct.

    IM dpruess - (NE) = 1 game

    vowles_23 - (NE) = 1 game

    William_Smitham - (NE) = 1 game

    ChessMarkstheSpot - (NE) = 1 game

    FM Kacparov - (NE) = 1 game

    mottsauce - (NE) = 1 game

    kptom - (NE) = 1 game

    pdela - (MIA) = 0 games

This week, seven out of the eight members who predicted did so correctly.  The final score of the match was 3 - 1.  We had two members who predicted that score correctly.  Since we only had one game this week, we cannot calculate scores beyond this.  Also, because we do not have any prizes to give out in the weekly contest (we stopped giving out weekly prizes after week 10), we have two winners this week!

Championship winners are:  IM dpruess  and vowles_23 Congratulations!

Thanks mottsauce!  Sometimes, when I change to bold text and add color, it seems to mess up the wording after it.  Embarassed

The entry has been edited.  Cool
