Chess Tournament at UM

Hi everyone!

I played in a OTB tournament last week at UM that was run by a expert level player Matan Prilleltensky and a couple of Master level players joined.

I am not aware of the tournament activity everyone has but i was curious to know if we would like to participate in OTB tournaments.

Players and ratings: FM Charles Galofre, NM Eric Rodriguez, NM Ernesto Alvarez, FM Fabio La Rota.

if you would like to be a part of a OTB chess community, let me know and I will put time to create these for us :)

Charles,

I would like to join you guys. I am working really hard at chess right now studying everyday but I need more playing OTB opportunities. My goal is to get to Expert level by the end of 2010. I go to the academy run by Blas Lugo but it doesn't seem as busy as it used to be, I rarely see people there. Please let me know when you guys meet and any tournaments that I could participate in. I'm not as strong as all of you but I will quickly improve, specially learning from strong players such as you guys. Thanks and let me know, Mario Gonzalez.

Count me in as well Charles. Well I hope its done after 5:30pm :) I work normal 9-5:30 hours m-f.

I'd love to get in some OTB games. I'm still only provisional in USCF, but I scored a 1700 performance at my last tournament and I'm still improving.
