For those of you that didn't know.  We had a very successful tournament yesterday.  It was a greater success if you want to measure in other terms as well, including the quality of play.  I'll do a report later on my site.

In any case, being the hot summer makes us think about cooler weather.  This brings up the Christmas Blitz we had last year and I was wondering how much interest there is in another one this year.  We were all pleasantly surprised at how many people turned up the week of Christmas to play.  Faces appeared we hadn't seen in a long time and we had more fun than should be legal in chess.

When you're tired of the incessant shopping and wrapping and nonstop commercial Christmas music and TV ads, two hours blitzing against others over the board sure sounds like fun.

What do you guys say?  Let's make this a tradition.

I usually spend Christmas visiting family in Michigan.  Sorry.
