Here is one of the classic traps I encountered lately. It is called Lasker's trap.

I know that I have used it and variants before. 4. Nf3 is the move played to avoid it. Maybe I should share another well-known trap: Legal's mate.

And one of many reasons why you shouldn't play Damiano's Defense.

The one based on Ruy Lopez is very nice. Thanks for showing this to us
