Well, someone once joked that the 248 in my name was how many groups I belong to, but it's actually 274 at the moment.
There's only a handful (relatively speaking, probably still more than most people even belong to) that I actually contribute to on a regular basis (a majority of them have very few members and almost no activity), and fewer still that I will join the Team Matches for. In most of them, I consider myself more of an ambassador then a member, so that I can see how everyone else is running things and get some new ideas for my own groups.
Besides, when a friend of mine is a member of one of my groups, I feel it's only right to be a member of his/hers too.
i run 1, am subbing for another and am admin in 2
am in 45 and play team matches and vote chess 4 all of them
and i activaly contribute in forums, ideas, and directing of smaller things in 20 of those groups
in a few groups i'm the only person that's ever talked
