Unrelated to chess, but I was thinking of starting up a DIYbio group somewhere around here (Shelby Twp./Utica area), and I was wondering if any chess.com members would be interested. For those of you who don't know, DIYbio (diybio.org) is an international grassroots organization promoting biology and its aspects, and they've lately started talking about biohacking, which is the performing of genetic experiments in a less-than-professional situation. One of the "simpler" experiments is to make glow-in-the-dark bacteria. Most of the stuff can be bought or homemade cheaply, especially if there are multiple people dividing the cost. If anyone's interested, respond to this post or send me an email at cmhiphone@gmail.com (email is probably the faster route).

Sounds interesting. I saw one of those on TV - Normal, everyday people doing DNA testing, etc.
