Well, it is totally possible... Team Indian Marauders would take over as unique World League representative and all players here willing to participate in the World League here, could join that team.

Indian Marauders is the largest and oldest Indian team. Besides they have a leaders structure already created and very involved. They are Indian representatives for the Vote Chess World League too... so, personally, I believe this option much easier and much better for everybody.

Is "Team India" a special name reserved for group that represents India in WL? In other words will Indian Marauders also be called Team India if they start representing India in WL?

A related question: Does, what we know as "Team India", have another name by which it was formed initially (and will be able to use only that name if it is removed from WL)?

Since there is no one taking care of Team India, why not simply merge it with Indian Marauders at chess.com level and call it "Team India" - and let the SA of IM become SA of new TI (formed by merging current TI + IM) ?

I doubt if any member has any sentimental attachment with "Team India" as a group (if they had, they would have come forward to save it long back). If merging with IM is a good solution then we should go for it - I would, as I said above, like the merged group to be called Team India, because you do get a sense of pride when associated with something called "Team India".

why is out country name is prefixed with TEAM.

It should be only INDIA no prefix & postfix should be added.

All groups participating in the World League have that name format. "Team... country name"

I see little quorum here, nor for the candidates, nor for the Indian Marauders options.... that makes me think that probably to define IM as the new official team might be much better...

we want it to be team india.merge the two groups. it doesnt matter which group is created first. what matters is the name. indian marauders doesn't sync with the culture of india, so keep it simple. "TEAM INDIA" as simple as that.

well i am new in chess.com and not really familiar with the layout which is very "different" than i usually c and expect in a ches site. but in my opinion "Team India"  is the only 1 suitable to represent india in this regard. skand r u somewhere around Burjman?
