Yes you are Mr Enigma :) - The next Round will not start until all the first round matches have been completed in all four groups. There are 15 games still to go.

To find out what is happening - On the top row of your home page you should have:

PLAY LEARN READ FORUMS .... etc

Click on "PLAY"

Ths brings up a dropdown - with ONLINE CHESS, TOURNAMENTS, LIVE CHESS .... etc

Click on Tournaments.

This will bring up a screen display of "MY ONLINE TOURNAMENTS".

1st section is "My Current Tournaments" in here you should see "Essex Individual Championship". Click on that! This takes you to the tournament home page.

This shows you your groups current standings (you're in 2nd) - there is a link at the top right (faded) which is 'view all pairings'. Click this to see how the other groups stand. Alternatively, move down the page to tournament stats and you can see remaining games : 15 (current round)

Well having advanced to the 2nd Round, I was happy if not somewhat bemused by the fact that 4 people were playing, and 3 would advance. Indeed this was an error, by me, and something here at chess.com, it would seem.

With myself having over 100 games being played in other tournaments, and with tekoa losing their games quite quickly, I decided to resign my games, as we was all going to play again in the final round anyway. To this I was mistaken, as only 2 people were to advance!

So I apologize to anybody that might have been offended by me resigning, but I did not want to waste my energy on something that was going to repeated. As I do not recall seeing anywhere that only 2 people would go through from the 2nd round group of 4.

Always next year (well this year actually) for the next one.
