Just finished my beans an corn bread... Ain't no Grainger Co. Maters right now though...

y'all are making me hungry.  my favorite is either homemade spaghetti and meatballs with cole slaw, some good bread and a glass of cheap red wine or a good old country meal of turnip greens, cornbread, pinto beans with fresh green onions and a bowl full of homegrown sliced tomatos with so much acid in them that they burn the corners of your mouth when you eat 'em.  i can't wait to put out some tomatos this spring.

 Pasta salad? What part of the south are you from! No way! Talk potato salad and you might get my attention. Have mercy! How about fried catfish, hush-puppies, fried okra or greens, with skillet cornbread and sweet tea. Close second, beans and cornbread, or red beans and rice with sweet peppers.

Chicken and dumplings with green beans,fresh corn on the cob and buttermilk biscuits slathered in butter. mmmmmmm! (my mother makes some fire chicken and dumplings.)

Shrimp alfredo with feta cheese on top..but if your talkin' 'bout some home grown cooking,it would have to be fried green tomato's and meatloaf topped with loads of ketchup.
