Openings are one of my (many) weakpoints. I'd be tempted to give that Albin Counter gambit a go though...

I used to be quite good as a kid, but until I found this site I hadn't played for 30 years. In that time I'd forgotten all the openings!

As far as my rating goes, it's up and down like a tart's drawers. I broke the 2000 mark once, but I'm more comfortable in the 1800s. I tend to play too many games too fast, and play from work (where I am now) so that I don't concentrate properly either. As a result, I'm never too far from a blunder.

But for me this site is about having fun rather than accumulating points.
