Hello everyone I've been having some OTB problems with the KID  playing against the six pawns attack.

How about 6...e5 instead?  If you insist on 6...c5, Fritz 8 gives 7 d5 Qa5 8 Bd2 Qb6, and Black has to survive a horrible-looking game for a while before eventually getting play on the queenside files.

if black plays e5 it's antoher opening variation all together.

It certainly is--but it's one you, as Black, have control over whether or not to go into at move six.  If you're sticking with 6...c5, then I have to say it looks rough for quite a while.  Playing it out on Fritz 8, White's h-pawn went to h5 and then traded on g6.  You can imagine how comfortable Black looks at that point.  Black's play in order to survive looks counterintuitive to me.

no I play this position from the white side Smile the fact your saying it looks bad for black is a good thing but I dont even play the KID.

I wondered what had been happening *after* g5.  I play the KID as Black but have never run into the Six Pawns Attack.  I'm interested in how the play might proceed, although I'd be likely to play 6...e5 and never get into it!
