Hi all, I recently played against the English and played the following gambit. Has anybody come across this before? What are your thoughts upon it? Cheers

I think 5...Be7 is a theoretical novelty.  Usually, black plays 5...Qe7.  If white accepts the sac, black does get compensation in the form of better development, but I'm not sure if it is enough.
