i am interested in starting a game or two.

I would like to play seriwan, omega, seriwan-omega or upgrade.

I'd like to play upgrade.

ichabod's account was closed for a while but I just noticed that it is back up so I can finally read the rules.

And I'd like to try it out.

a version was sufggested where pieces break up into rook, bishop and knight as appropiate (pawn promotion is likewise restricted). 

which would you prefer ?

Not sure how the pieces are going to break up, but I'll play the original version for now.
