Just some thoughts and observations on our chess group.
At this moment there are 14 members. 13 are from the USA and one from Cuba. The USA members are from all over the country. Illinios, Kansas, and Iowa from the midwest. Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, and Georgia from the southeast. New Hampshire from the northeast and Texas from the southwest. And there are 4 members from parts unknown.
The ages of members vary: 14, 18, 23, 25, 31, 47, 49, 50, 57, 58, and 106. And we have 3 members who aren't telling ther age, however, Graybeard is very, very old. And at 106 alcanzando looks great. Really great for that age!!
The birthday months also vary: 3 in June, 2 in April, 2 in July ( Happy Birthday tooeasy1 and Bruce_yost ), and one each in February, September, November, and December.
As far as careers go we have some info. We have a Head Coach/Analyst, Mental Health-Residential Advisor, Me - one who picks up heavy things and delivers them , and several here have answered God's call - we have 2 Ministers, a Missionary, and a Young Life Area Director in pursuit of a Masters of Theology.
The current chess ratings of our members also varies from around 1200 to several players rated in the middle 1700's. Average rating right now is 1445.
As I read through the profiles and look at the online chess stats of all our members I think we have a great opportunity here to learn from each other. And not just chess. We all have different backgrounds, live in different areas, are of all ages, and have so much to offer. I believe Graybeard has done an excellent job in putting this chess group together. Please visit your chess community often and take time to post a comment or two. Could be on chess, something going on in your life or in the world, a question or comment, or just to say hello. Look through the info above and let me know what you think. And be active. Keep up with your fellow members.
Thanks!!
And don't forget to enjoy the day!!

Wow - how insightful. Thanks so muchfor writing and looking into all that. Can we talk more on the chess games we are playing. I don't like messaging on here as much as talking back and forth on the games I am playing.
Does this message I am sending back in response to you go to all the members? Cause if that's the case this would be a fun way to have an open dialogue with everybody interacting.
Thanks again and have a great day!
Peace, Brent
