I just got a copy of the GuitarPro5 application - does anybody use it? If yes, what do you think of that? Is it useful, does it work etc.?

I played profesionally for 22 years and I have the GuitarPro4 and i like it because if you know how to write music you can compose your own music or transcribe other artist's music. It has alot of tools you can write anything you like you can print it and it will play it back. Also, you can use a midi-guitar and it's alot easier because what you play , it will write. I don't have a midi-guitar so I can't tell you much about this but I do recommend it. It has scales you can practice at different speeds and so forth.

I think the notes in pro4 is better than pro5. have you tried both of them?

I think, that GP have range is very small capacity. For example, Sonar more advanced. But if I want to find notes for guitar on the internet, it is much easier to find exactly GP files.

Old thread, but,I would recommend sonar 7 producer edition. Though,i don't use it very often.I have many copies. If you have the shareware version and would like the fully functional version (with legal registration). Drop me a line.
