hi Robert,

yes I thought of doing that...but currently I only have one chess set.I tried to look for random objects (LOL!) in my house to use for hawks and elephants but couldn't find anything suitable.I looked for interactive boards on the net but there aren't any Cry.Anyway,in the meantime maybe I'll buy a cheap casual chess set or just wait it out. Thanks!Smile

If you have a set that is much smaller than the first one, you can put the little N on top of the Big R to produce an Elephant.

You could also put a small B and a small N on the same square -- to represent the Hawk.

as to your original question, 2 weeks to 2 1/2 weeks.

Hey Jacob,

I just sent a note to BrainKIng http://brainking.com/ asking them to consider adding Seirawan chess to their large array of chess variants. One of the site administrators replied. He said he'd consider it. The site is primitive compared to this one, but it would give us a board to use for our games.

On the subject of improvising S-Chess sets, it occurs to me that Asian shops often have small carved elephants and other figures that would work.

When you get a set set up, let us know and we'll start some games.

cool!!hopefully some time soon they'll set it up...

looks like they have lots of variants over there I haven't even heard of :)
