Ok, well, so far it is looking good but there are many others that have yet to see this thread. So, hopefully, they will also be favorable with this. It would be greatly appreciated to get *all* of the members' feedback on this, not just a handful or so, so I urge everyone that have not left a comment on this, please reconsider. We are a team, and we live and die as a team, and our choices *should* be made as a team. Thank you again. Smile

I like the idea of a New Jersey Supergroup.   Kinda like if Springsteen's band merged with The Misfits.

So, I vote "got for it!"

Thanks for all the work you're doing!

Absorb them like a growing black hole. I say keep the name 'New Jersey Chess Team'.

As long as there are no "power" conflicts, and all the Admistrators, Super or otherwise, have a true team mentality, I think it makes sense. Why have division when there only really needs to be one team for NJ?

This is great feedback everyone. I want to hear from more members though. But right now it seems, if all goes well, a possibility  Smile

I'm good to go. I do like our original name though.

    "The Flying Bon Jovis"?

But in all seriousness, why not have all the members of TNJ just join this group? I don't think chess.com offers an actual merge team option; even if there was, it would probably just confuse everyone (members of both teams, US State league admisistrators, teams involved with TNJ).

IMO, just have those 10 members we're gaining join this group. Maybe get TNJ's admin to ask them himself (herself).

It would be great to have a ubited New Jersey chess team.

This is the kind of turnout that I was hoping for when I posted this thread. I can pretty much tell where this is going. And no Mm, I don't know either if there is a 'merge' option, and I already tried putting out invitations to those members on that team to join this one, and most if not all of them never responded to me. Joe(Relentless95) hasn't really done much over there. I think he has only done one team match. I'll give this thread until the weekend until we make a move here. But the support so far of the team is letting me know we should try to jump on this. If they deny the option, at least we tried. Cool

OK everyone. I have dispatched a message to the Team New Jersey Super A and hopefully we can get an idea of where he stands on this. Thank you everyone for your opinions. Cool

The update on this is Relentless95 is going to think about it. I suggested he make a topic in his forums like we did and discuss it there. I did mention to him a lot of his members are our members as well, so there should not be any problem. What will most likely happen is that his group will disband and everyone who wants to will come here. We should hear a response back sometime over the weekend I am guessing. Smile

I haven't heard any reply on this issue yet. I'm going to give their Super A as much time as he needs. He told me himself that he might as well, because they are not doing that much in the way of activity lately. They only have one Team Match going, but I am not going to pester him about it. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.  Smile
