As you can see,my rating is now 1669 and will very shortly drop dramatically after the Canada versus Serbia Stanley Cup games are finished. I am losing all three games. My rating used to be 1838 but now is going south. I figure the only way to play better is to challenge opponents better than me. A win without real challenge is really meaningless. I am an amateur Chess player who plays for fun.

hi! i'm just new with the group and i find it very difficult to win games with the current sectoral brownouts we are experiencing this summer in our country. what a bummer when you're playing live chess and winning then the brownout happens and you just lose a game for abandonment. :-(

Hello, and thanks for the invite I'm a single dad with custody of 2 lil girls and I love chees I'm not berry good, don't have much time but when I do I play. As much as I can it's relaxing for me. Win or lose. Though I'd rather win but such is life. Any ways thanks again.

Hello everybody.  I am also new to the group.  I seem to be a little better at the game than I thought - that or I've been getting lucky.  Wink  But I am still very much a beginner.  I love playing chess and one day I was complaining to a friend about how few people I knew would play.  He suggested chess.com and I have been thanking him every day since.  Smile
