I was watching the speech in the law school- students and staff on both sides of the aisle were clapping. Obama certainly has a gift with words- it was the best speech I've heard from an American president in, oh, about eight years.

How about the crowd? Over two million people on the mall, thousands more massed in city center like Times Square watching it live. It really feels like things are changing for the better and it is something special to have a government that people can believe in and that inspires its citizens and is inspired by them.

Now, hopefully President Obama can turn words into, action, and action into results.

I'm glad Obama won he seemed the most practical out of the election.  Withouth these cash injections i wonder how would the capitalist economy revive itself as it needs its products to be bought.  I'm from Britain so we took a great interest in this election as this decision has a knock on effect to us.  Thank you america for choosing the correct guy!

I do fear that expectations of Obama are too high.  People may fear that he hasn't met them, then as a result distrust him.  But i do have a faith in him that he will bring some sort of change, however i think real change is by making fundemental changes to the economy.  Many people were amazed by the lies, spin, and greed that have come out so far - many which have not been fully publicised yet...but what do they expect when they support a system of following profit and deregulations, did they expect businessmen and thee free marketers to make profit in a sensible way?
