Can I join the Guitar Hero-ness?

I play the game waaaaay too much, so the easiest way to list these would be the ones I don't have....

Holiday in Cambodia, Rock You Like a Hurricane, Black Sunshine, Knights of Cydonia, Raining Blood, Number of the Beast (-1), One, Don't Hold Back, Down 'n Dirty, F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X., Impulse, In Love, Nothing For Me Here (-1), Take this Life (-3), The Way it Ends (-1, 1837 note streak), and Through The Fire and Flames (- alot).

Here's a link to my GH scores: http://www.scorehero.com/manage_scores.php?group=4&game=6&diff=4

People interested in GH should join ScoreHero if you really like the game, it's a great website, though not as intelectually based as Chess.com, of course. Wink

Sorry if this is a dead thread...

This thread was dead, but perhaps it could be revived. I am very close to 3's & 7's, Cliffs of Dover, Hier Kommt Alex, Avalancha, In the Belly of a Shark, and Mauvais Garcon. However, whenever I attempt one of these songs, either I make a mistake, or my controller malfunctions, usually the latter. I also have World Tour, but I haven't really tried for any FC's, so I only have Eye of the Tiger. I have been putting far too much effort into Crazy Train.

Crazy Train?!?! Are you going for a FC, or just a high score? That song is beastly, either way, good luck!

As far as Cliffs of Dover, do you two hand tap Intro Solo B? The part that is like the opposite of the TTFAF intro, with oranges. You probably knew that, but I just couldn't suppress the helpful nerd in me...

Yes, I tap the intro. I usually choke somewhere in the middle and/or botch the ending. I am going for an FC of Crazy Train. I can FC most parts consistently except for the solo. I think it may be an unrealistic FC, but I still anpeyn nonetheless.

Also, I have 100% of CoFwRaR and 3's & 7's, but I have an overstrum. In CoFwRaR, it was a malfunction; I was not touching the strum bar.

I feel really stupid for asking this, but what is CoFwRaR? Being as much of a GH nerd as I am, I really should know this....

Ahhh, I see. That's a sweet song, I'm sure you could get it with a few more tries. The hardest part for me was the random strums, not the Solos or the desc. triplets. Of course, I always have trouble with easy stuff (see: In Love), so that's no suprise.

The 3's and 7's X-strum isn't that bad, though, I did it TWICE before I FC'ed it....

I don't think I'll FC Cities on Flame, because the spontaneous strumming has gotten quite bad. It seems that every fifteen strums or so, I get an extra strum that I did not perform. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

The simplest way would be to to get a new guitar, as it's most likely a hardware malfunction. If you want the much less expensive but more complicated alternative, I can look through a archive of fixes that SH's resident genius "Briguy" has put together. I can look it up for you, but I need to know which guitar you're using, Kramer, Les Paul, SG (Red or Black), Xplorer, Aerosmith LP, World Tour Guitar, or you can name it if it isn't in that list.

It's the World Tour controller. Can you link me to the page?

As is mentioned in that thread, soldering is required, and you will void the warrently by performing this mod. I would be very careful, and read everything in that thread before asking a question, because some people don't like it if you just want a easy answer with out reading a few minutes to find it on your own.

My warranty is long gone. This looks doable. I'll be sure to try it when I get the chance to obtain the parts.

Just be careful, I don't trust my self to do most modding, soldering and such. But you're probably more steady handed than I am.

Because It's Midnite looks brutal. Here's a video of Danny Johnson FCing it.
