    Welcome aboard, fellow users!

In our upcoming first team match against the Non-Users (N'Users?), I imagine that we will reserve our right to utilise all available facilities, right? Let the N'Users challenge us to a match on their own terms, if they so wish.

You are all articulate and capable spokespersons for this crusade. Feel free to lead from the front! For starters, perhaps someone would like to kick off a topic to generate a motto for the group. And what about an icon - from somebody artistically minded?

I look forward to the day when decent, law-abiding members of chess.com can walk these boards without looking over their shoulders, wondering when someone is going to come up to them and say: "Using databases! That's isn't allowed, surely?"

    just a thought

Auto engines, aero engines and such like, do you mean?

It's somewhat ambiguous - as the ONE thing we don't try to benefit from on chess.com IS (software) engines!

    Keep the ideas coming!

Tomorrow (Tuesday), I'll initiate the Team Match - and just hope it doesn't overshadow any other contest between two camps taking place on that day.

Currently, there are 28 Users to 19 Non_Users. That suggests a Minimum of 15 per side should be about right. Allowing two days for signing up, we should be ready for kick off (or whatever the equivalent is called in a chess match), late on Wednesday.

    Have fun!

Snappy! and could also be used to promote old-fashioned lawn mowers.

    How about,

"With an open mind and an open book we shall prosper in chess."

It needs some editing but I think the sentiment gets through.
