playing a blitz match against Dapharaoh i noticed that he was playing sicilian again...so i tried to surprise him with something i have never played with and it turned out to be an interesting match, tough blitz causes a lot of blunders etcetera i'm sure i surprised him.

But that is of no importance, i'm wondering wether or not this opening is terrible and should never be played or wehter it has potential...please comment

I have a feeling that people always play Bc4 in blitz and never play Bc4 in online chess in the sicilian... 3. Bc4 is a rare move, though probably not losing. I usually react with ...e6 and ...d5 if I'm allowed when I meet Bc4 in the sicilian. The Dasher computer thinks it is even (which isn't good for white).

That doesn't seem the best way for you to push for the advantage.

5. Nxe5 e6  6. 0-0 Bd6 7. Re1/d4/Bb5+ (already your advantage has slipped away a bit)

Also what is your plan if Black plays differently?

e.g.

1. e4 c5  2. Nf3 Nc6 ?  This would give him greater flexibility on answering threats against f7 with e6.
