I'd think the subject is clear enough. Post what's going on in your life lately!
In my life, the past week has been interesting, and I'll be covering a bit of it in my podcast. For those too lazy to click on the link, I went and added WindowBlinds to my computer, got a Wii, and have decided to stop going to karaoke for a while. I also found a new program that's easier to use than Audacity for recording podcasts, but you'' have to listen to my podcast or visit the website to find out what's it is called.
Have a good week!
I'm getting home Internet again tomorrow morning.
Just finished an OTB tourney, lost both games & got a bye the third round. Really dissapointing because I had a won game vs. a near-expert in the first (but lost on time) and had an opportunity to be a clear piece up in my second but my brain went south for the winter or something & I made three blunders almost back to back & dropped that one too.
I miss playing online more (I'm on chess.com about 30-60 minutes a week now) but I like playing live chess better. I appreciate everyone who is still active for the team in vote & team matches.
Well, I had the flu last weekend, and in the days since then, I've decided to put this computer back to what it was originally designed as - a home theatre PC. I don't like the office as my workspace for my PC anymore anyways - it gets way too cold in the winter for my tastes.
When I first joined this site, I dreaded the prospect of working as a geologist fulltime. About a year later, I've got a job that I really, really enjoy doing. Life is good
And I'm now ready to give chess more of my time, while I still can.
Very happy for you Sash. What is the job you really wanted?
While you still can? There isn't a Sashie Jr. on the way is there?
Well, moving the computer to the living room got too expensive for me, so I found a way to extend the tv cable to the office so I can watch TV on my PC, and use my existing TV for movie watching and console gaming. Works for me for now... and I found that if I heat up the living room, the office eventually warms up!
Anything that only requires perfect english, and now I'm a sub editor. Life is good
Sashie Jr? Not that I know of but I was told that while I have a lot of free time at work now, it won't stay that way very long, so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!
