So I figure this forum uses the term 'Artist' in a general sense.  Not just pertaining to painting, drawing, sculpting, etc., but to include writing as well as anything one would consider 'art'.  Myself I am a writer, albeit not a very good one but a writer nonetheless ;)  So if it was OK I would like to post some of my writings.

I have been in many other forums on other sites and do not get any good feed back, if it's good, bad, indifferent, you now.  Most response I get was I loved it, it was SO good.  Riiight, if it was THAT good why have I not earned a cent of my writing and get rejected 97 times out or 100 submissions I submit (which is up from when I just got out of college.  At that time I was being rejected 99.3 times out of 100, SCORE!).

My thinking was since chess is a game of the mind I may get more intelligent responses.  Just a thought.

i think responses will be dependant upon whether the other members are interested in reading your stuff, and if they know enough about writing to comment meaningfully. I hope you get lots of constructive feedback.

I think a lot of the time, people wont respond if they arnt going to be positive. So you see only the comments of those who love your work, not those who think its mediocre.

I'm a writer as well, and that's why I'm here, so I say that it's a good idea.

Also, from my experience, three acceptances for every hundred submissions ain't bad.

writer (and a poet) here as well. i'm up for it and i think it would be unfair to the written art as oposed to the visual art if we didnt have any literal work here...

Hi

I think everybody needs to get out in the traffic with their art, may it be paintings, sketches, sluptures photos, poems or other things. Just get out in the traffic and post your work. People will respond. Thank you. Rolef

Post your writing and poetry and it would be my pleasure to read it.  If there is a need for a comment, of praise or perhaps of constructive suggestions, I will send one.  I agree with rolef, your art will be appreciated, in some way, by all who view or read it.

I love critiquing other people's work. :D  I'm an avid writer, and as such, would enjoy reading your piece and making helpful suggestions.
